Steven's 40 ft. Bluebird (Judy)
Judy is a 40 ft International Bluebird fully outfitted with electrical, battery bank, fridge/freezer, stove, full bath, and comfortably seats 8. We went with a custom "Emerald Ice" colour, modelled after the popular VW colour pallet. She is powered by a 7.3L Diesel engine and outfitted with exterior belly storage.
This build had one goal in mind... make it feel like a cabin! Featuring painted, pine tongue-and-groove, custom contrasting laminate flooring, edison lighting, and a barnboard focus wall, all create a cozy space. Here you will notice the custom cushions, galley style design, and of course.... Elfie the pup!
The kitchen features full amenities with this propane stove/burner, a three way dometic fridge, microwave, and double, undermounted sink. Propane runs to the fridge, stove, and forced air furnace. Countertops are a custom slab of butcher block, spanning 6 feet across from this and 3 feet inset with the stove here. Above the stove is a custom microwave cupboard with contrasting spice rack.
Looking towards the front you can see the custom overhead cabinets for extra storage. To the right is the dinette featuring a matching butcher block slab to the counter tops. We coated our Dometic three-way fridge in chalk paint to offer a creative platform.
The kitchen features custom cabinetry with inset wainscoting panels. The over head cabinets offer loads of storage space for longterm living or expansive trips. The double sink was a must to make dishwashing easy. The highlight of the kitchen - if not the custom cabinets - is the full subway tile backsplash with dark contrasting grout.
